Power up your Solar incentives in NSW with Batteries

Increase your returns with PRC incentives from
your solar batteries installations in NSW

New battery incentives available from 1 November 2024

Under the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme, installers who are either installing new batteries or connecting existing batteries to a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) may be eligible to create PRCs

We are now
accredited for NSW Battery incentives

For nearly two decades, we’ve helped solar installers unlock significant financial incentives. With the new NSW battery accreditation, even greater opportunities are now available to expand your business and maximise returns.

What else?

  • To be considered an authorised installer, you must first complete the online Battery Training Module and sign our Relationship Agreement. All installers will need to demonstrate accreditation from SAA and provide copies of an unrestricted electrical license (and other relevant qualifications such as Home Building Compensation (HBC) for works exceeding $20,000)

  • Accredited Certificate Providers (ACP) are companies like us. We make sure that installers collect the evidence/documents required to claim certificates. Then, it's our job to make sure our clients, the installers get paid for their installs.

  • We are a company who have been working with different certificate schemes for almost 2 decades with long-lasting relationship with clients.

  • Yes. Green Energy Trading will be able to create PRCs for all eligible battery installations. We'll do it through our sister company, National Carbon Bank of Australia, but this will work on the back end. If you are an existing client, your process will be similar to what you are already used to.

  • Similar to other schemes, you'll need to provide evidence such as documents and photos.

Our platform Geo will allow you to seamlessly gather all evidence for Solar PV STCs and Battery PRCs, enabling fast and reliable payments for both certificate types.

  • Yes.

  • It will depend on the battery size and if the battery is connected to a VPP or not. You can check by clicking in the button below.

  • PRCs will not reduce year on year, the deemed lifetime will stay at 15 years unless there are rule changes.
