New Ceiling Insulation Incentives Coming to Victoria in 2026
From early 2026, Victorian Insulation installers will benefit from a new opportunity within the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program
Warmer winters. Cooler summers. Smaller bills.
That’s the simple promise behind a new ceiling insulation incentive launching in Victoria from early 2026 under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program.
From next year, Victorian insulation installers and households alike will benefit from this major opportunity to improve home comfort and cut energy costs. Eligible homes will be able to access significant discounts on ceiling insulation, reducing installation costs by around half.
According to the Energy Savings Industry Association (ESIA), that means a $3,000 insulation job could drop to roughly $1,500 out-of-pocket and deliver up to $400 per year in energy-bill savings.
Why Insulation Matters
Insulation has long been one of the biggest gaps in Australian energy efficiency. It doesn’t just make homes more comfortable, but it’s also a effective ways to reduce energy use and emissions.
Right now, around 60% of Victorian homes either have no insulation or inadequate insulation. That means more heat escaping in winter, more hot air trapped in summer, and higher energy bills all year round.
The upcoming VEU insulation incentive is designed to fix that, making efficient homes more affordable and achievable for every Victorian household.
