STC Eligibility Update: Only IEC 61215:2021 standard Certified PV Modules from April 2025

From 1 April 2025, only PV modules certified to the 2021 IEC 61215 standard will be eligible for STCs.

If you have 2016-certified panels that received an extension from the CEC, they must be installed, tested, and commissioned by 31 March 2025 to qualify.

 

What to do next

  • Check your stock and install older panels before the deadline.

  • Take photos of module labels for records.

  •  Don’t miss out—expired panels won’t be eligible for STCs.
