Onsite just got smarter at picking up mistakes before they cost you a trip back to site
We've released another update to Onsite. Here's what's changed and why it matters.

Scanning that knows what it's looking at?
Onsite used to check every scanned barcode the same way, just looking at whether it came out the right length. The problem is, most mis-scans aren't about length. They're a single character read wrong, which can still look like a perfectly valid serial number.
So we've made the scanning smarter about what it's looking at, with stricter checks for products like panels where a single wrong scan among 200 means someone has to go back and find it. The result: fewer false flags, and the ones that do get caught are more likely to be real.
Offline mode that holds for a full week
Onsite now properly supports a full week working offline. Load your jobs in the morning while you've got signal, then keep working without interruption even if you're somewhere remote for days.
There's also a new warning if you try to log out with unsynced changes still sitting on your phone, so you don't lose work you haven't had a chance to sync yet.
Why we're telling you about this
Onsite is being actively rebuilt and improved in the background. We'd rather show you that in small, regular updates than have you find out every six months that things have quietly gotten better.
We build and maintain the app in-house, so when something needs fixing, you're talking to the same team that built it, not waiting on a third-party vendor.
