The Opportunity

As an Accounts Officer, you will play a critical role in our accounting department, primarily responsible for overseeing payment processing, recording supplier bills, managing credit card transactions, executing funds recovery, and inventory reconciliation. Additionally, you will assist in other general accounting and trade settlements responsibilities and serve as the main point of contact for supplier payment related queries.

Accounts Officer responsibilities:

Payment Processing & Management

  • Guarantee the timely payment of payables and ensure supplier bills are recorded promptly and paid by their due dates.

  • Monitor and resolve vendor payments and billing related queries from both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supplier invoice audit.

  • Funds recovery.

  • Accounts Payable reporting.

Transaction Reconciliation & Record Keeping

  • Responsible for General Suppliers on-boarding.

  • Conduct vendor call-backs.

  • Record and process payments for general supplier invoices, ensuring that all supplier bills are properly validated and approved before payment.

  • Accurately record company credit card transactions and reconcile against monthly statements.

  • Record expense reports.

General Support

  • Responsible for the certificate claims inventory reconciliation 

  • Assist the Accountants in financial reporting, such as Prepayments account reconciliation.

  • Provide support in the trade settlements function.

  • Assist in certificate claims invoicing and settlement.

What we are looking for

We know this is a very exciting opportunity, but there are a few things we need from you:  

  • A completed accounting, finance, or business course is required.

  • Previous accounts payable experience is preferred.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, high level of accuracy & advanced Microsoft Office skills, with Netsuite (Oracle) knowledge is an advantage.

  • Customer service oriented with a reliable and conscientious demeanour.

  • The ability to plan, manage and prioritise your time with proficient problem-solving and investigative skills when working under pressure. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • The self-awareness to recognise the impact you have on others

  • A goal-driven personality with a desire to make a difference to the team’s overall performance.
