We had a great time celebrating our 15th anniversary with you

We are proud of how far we have come, and even prouder of the strong relationships we have built along the way.

Between the two days of All-Energy, we celebrated our anniversary with our friends. It was a fantastic opportunity to see familiar faces; clients, current staff members, former staff members and other stakeholders. We had a massive turnout, which made the night even more special, so thank you.

Luke Konynenburg, our CEO, reflected on the meaning of the night:

"Turning 15 is a testament to the organisation and the people who contribute to the success every day."

Ric Brazzale, Group Chairman, took the opportunity to talk about where we are and project a bright future.

"It's been an amazing ride. The last 15 years have been amazing. When I look at our business, we've grown and developed as the industry has grown. We caught a tiger by the tail, we hung on, and it took us for a ride."

In a touching speech, Ric shared memories that it wasn't all roses and traced it back to 2012 when the future looked grim.

"We faced several challenges that impacted the business. 2012 was one of the most painful moments of my career. We've been through some rough moments, but what didn't kill us made us stronger, and we are a growing group now, so we need to celebrate that."

Ric mentioned that some of the industry's recent achievements were unthinkable not long ago:

"The Solar industry last year was at 3.5 Gigawatts. We've also seen a massive transformation with the roll-out of LED lighting that brought enormous energy savings... We are on track to achieve 80% renewable energy by 2030 and will phase out coal by 2035."

The future has never looked brighter for the Green Energy Group.

We know we still have a lot to do, it is important to take a night to celebrate our journey so far and recharge ourselves for the road ahead.
