Who we are

We help people access incentives for solar power and energy efficiency upgrades, delivering smarter energy outcomes.  It is our mission to support sustainable changes in Australia's energy market that have positive impacts on our environment.

Growth in our Research and Development team has been solid and we need another Senior Energy Engineer (SEE).  The SEE will be responsible for Commercial Projects client management, supporting new and existing clients through providing project compliance management, Measurement and Verification (M&V) technical support and general certificate related guidance through the life of each project.

The SEE will be responsible for ensuring policy and regulatory changes affecting Green Energy Trading’s Measurement and Verification accreditations are appropriately communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

The role will be based at Green Energy Trading head office in Melbourne and may include a small amount of travel (mainly in Victoria) to conduct client meetings, site inspections, attend conferences, and staff meetings.

We are a lean, rapidly growing business with boundless opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Who you are

  • You will be an experienced (3-5yrs) Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP)

  • You will have a good understanding of M&V regulations under the current Gov schemes and understand the new activities which are planned.

  • The Senior Energy Engineer (SEE) in conjunction with the Research, Development & Compliance Manager (RDCM), develops new activity accreditation applications and processes and systems to support compliant certificate creation under the accreditations. The SEE plays a major role in the integration of new activities into main GET operations.

You know how to communicate about technical things with people who have a range of technical abilities. When stakeholders talk with you, they leave feeling confident they were understood.

If you have a passion for the environment, want to see real action on climate change and be a driving force in the evolution of our energy market, you will be right at home here.

What we offer

You will earn a competitive salary (negotiable on experience $80-100K/pa + super) and be part of our employee profit share scheme.

Note: In accordance with guidance from the government, all staff are currently working a mix of office / from home. We will be returning to the office described below when it is safe to do so. Until then, we are supporting staff to ensure their home working environments are safe and productive.

Coffee lovers rejoice! We have a café quality espresso machine, and our kitchen is stocked with a variety of tea, milk and fruit for your enjoyment. Plus our modern office in leafy Hawthorn is only minutes from both trains and trams, and the locked bike cage has some empty racks.

When we return to the office, we will provide social drinks and nibbles every Friday night, celebrate birthdays and special occasions as a team, and share insights and ideas in our regular Lunch 'n' Learn sessions - all Covid Safe, of course.
