Inverter manufacturers and suppliers must lodge an application to re-list inverters or PCEs on the CEC list of compliant inverters and PCE and provide additional certificates demonstrating compliance with AS/NZS 4777.2:2015 by 9 Oct 2016.  All products that have not been relisted by 9 October 2016 will be removed from the list.

Solar PV systems installed on or after 9 Oct 2016 are eligible for STCs if the panels connect to a new or existing inverter that complies with AS/NZS 4777.2 and is on the Clean Energy Council list of compliant inverters and power conversion equipment (PCE)

PV installers should check with their supplier and confirm their inverter stock will continue to be eligible to claim STCs after 9 Oct 2016.

The compliance of existing inverters with current CEC inverter and PCE approval requirements should be taken into consideration when quoting on additional panels and panel replacements for existing systems.
