Home Energy Efficiency Retrofits
Green Energy Trading became accredited for the Home Energy Efficiency Retrofits (HEER) activity under the Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) in May 2018.
The Home Energy Efficiency Retrofits (HEER) method may be used to calculate energy savings from a range of household and small business energy efficiency upgrades.
Our accreditation is designed to support eligible certificate creation and monetisation for lighting upgrades occurring in residential and small business premises using the Deemed Energy Savings Method – Home Energy Efficiency Retrofits (HEER) calculation methodology.
Activities that GET will create ESCs for include replacement of inefficient lamps and luminaires with higher efficiency IPART approved lamps and luminaires under the following schedules:
E1: replace halogen downlight with an LED luminaire and/or lamp
E2: replace a linear halogen floodlight with a high efficiency lamp
E3: replace Parabolic Aluminised Reflector (PAR) lamp with efficient luminaire and/or lamp
E4: replace a T8 or T12 luminaire with a T5 luminaire
E5: replace a T8 or T12 luminaire with a LED luminaire
E11: replace an Edison screw or bayonet lamp with an LED lamp for general lighting purposes
